FAQ

What are cannabis products?

The plant extract is derived from the Cannabis sativa plant, containing a combination of substances from that plant. It is recognized for preserving the active components of plants, for its long durability and revitalizing health effects, making it a great alternative to treat various symptoms.

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is one of the cannabinoids present in cannabis, being the main therapeutic agent. It helps treat various symptoms and conditions, including epilepsy, anxiety, pain, inflammation, and immune system problems.

What is THC?

Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is one of the main cannabinoids present in cannabis, known for its therapeutic effects. It has been used to treat a variety of conditions, including chronic pain, chemotherapy-related nausea and vomiting, spasticity in patients with multiple sclerosis, and to stimulate appetite in patients undergoing chemotherapy.

What are cannabinoids?

Cannabinoids are chemical substances that interact with our endocannabinoid system. There are three main types: Phytocannabinoids: derived from plants Endocannabinoids: produced by the human body Synthetic cannabinoids: manufactured in the laboratory

What is the endocannabinoid system?

The endocannabinoid system is an essential regulator of the nervous, immune and endocrine systems, being responsible for regulating the body's homeostasis. Small endocannabinoid receptors are distributed throughout the body and send and receive chemical messages that regulate pain, inflammation, immune functions, among others.

What endocannabinoids does our body produce?

Our body produces two main endocannabinoids: anandamide and 2-AG. The cannabis plant has more than 150 phytocannabinoids, while there are thousands of synthetic cannabinoids.

What is the ideal dosage?

Factors such as weight, metabolism and genetics influence the ideal dose of CBD for each person. Because the endocannabinoid system is unique, some individuals need small doses, while others may require larger doses to achieve the same effect. Professional support is essential.

What is the difference between full-spectrum CBD oils and isolated CBD products?

We offer full spectrum Avivia Oils with isolated CBD. In isolated CBD, there are no other plant components, just CBD. Full-spectrum CBD maintains all the plant's natural compounds, including other cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids, providing an enhanced effect due to the synergy between these components, known as the "entourage effect" (or "entourage effect" and "synergistic effect" ).

Which is better: full spectrum oil or isolated?

Full-spectrum oils maintain the natural profile of compounds from the cannabis plant, including cannabinoids like CBG, CBC, and CBN, and terpenes like pinene, linalool, and limonene. They are often seen as more beneficial than isolated ones due to the well-known “entourage effect”. However, as each patient has specific characteristics, there is no ideal form for everyone, but rather what best suits their reality (according to the prescriber's assessment).

Are there any adverse reactions?

Cannabinoids are considered safe, but may present mild adverse effects, which vary depending on the main components. The medical professional must inform the patient about possible adversities in the treatment.

Does CBD interact with other medications?

CBD is generally safe, with a low potential for drug interactions. However, it can interact with medications processed by the liver, which metabolizes many compounds, including natural ones.
